Dano is a simple, space-memorization Android application specifically built for Korean learners. Studying Korean for 4 years, I was unable to find a memorization app that fit all my needs, so I built my own. It features daily reminders, online sync/backup, and export to share word lists with friends.

Play as a ninja that can cut through the fabric of space-time as he searches for his lost ninja stars. This game was built as part of a analytical-driven game design course, whose focus was to iteratively improve the game using statistics captured from thousands of players.

A multiplayer tank battle-arena where players can explore a procedurally-generated, fully destructible terrain. This game was built on a custom 3D-engine and features unique explosion/shield shaders, day/night cycle, and multiple language options.

In partnership between Ellis Island and Bergen County Academies, we created a historically accurate reconstruction of the famous registry room for exploration in the Oculus Rift. Additionally, with support from the Columbia School of Arts we enabled users to experience various landmarks worldwide in virtual reality.

This award-winning LibGDX game was developed in 4 months under a 7 person team, and won the Audience Favorite Award as the annual GDIAC exposition. As software lead of the team, I designed the overall architecture and developed various physics interactions, GUI elements, and particle effects.

As a final project for Artificial Intelligence Practicum (CS4701), we implemented and trained a AI agent to play Blokus against humans and other AI agents. We first defined a set of popular stragies and then used a genetic learning algorithm to determine weights for each approach by playing against other AIs. The resulting AI agent had a >50% winrate against human opponents.
September - December 2015
As business team lead for the Cornell Rocketry Team, I took the initiative to completely redesign our team's website. It was built on top of a Bootstrap/jQuery frontend with a PHP/MySQL backend. It features CSS animations, a responsive design, and a custom-built CMS to easily make content changes for non-technical members.
This virtual reality experience was developed in 24 hours and allows users to race a virtual Tron-esque bike against AI opponents. It was awarded the Grand Prize at the first ever HackBCA, a high-school hackathon whose judges included Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and Wolfram Research CEO Stephen Wolfram.
